New York State Health Emergency in the U.S. Following the Swine
The state of New York declared a state of health emergency starting on Saturday, the latest attempt against the influenza epidemic hit the United States and threaten some areas of Canada.
Executive order allowing pharmacists inject flu vaccine to adolescents under the age of 18 years, paving the way for vaccinations for children, even infants aged six months. Mayor of Boston issued a similar statement earlier this week, and urged the residents to be vaccinated against the virus.

The move comes as U.S. health officials are trying to eradicate the flu epidemic that broke out in 47 of the 50 states, which has killed 20 children. There is no adult mortality, but the Center for Disease Control, CDC, estimates, flu outbreak has caused more than 20 thousand Americans die every year.

Canadian media quoted health officials as saying, most of the nearly four thousand people with flu were identified in seven provinces last week, there are in-home nursing.
